Wait Training
Whether waiting for a train or a change in the weather
A practice for patience you can't be late for

Time flies like an arrow
Fruit flies like a banana
Our minds flip time around like rhythms in India and Ghana

  Am I passing through time or is it passing me by?
At times it seems through the events do wander time and I
Looking forward to tomorrow, looking back is memories cast
But events "put back" move toward the future and "brought forward" is towards the past

Things we say make the river of time flow either way
To tomorrow and yet to yesterday
From the past or the future, how they suit ya
Depends on how you and time relate
You can pick how you picture it, revise
What you visualise from what's innate to you, Wait...

Heavy lifting for the brain til it's light as a feather
Get out of your mind anticipating ...wait...

It's about time I wrote this song
It's time will come, it won't be long
If it's ahead of its time, that might be wrong
In front of the beat, on top of the beat, behind the beat
Drop the beat, pick up the beat, miss a beat
Yeah, the word "beat" can mean a good many things
Like what you do with drums or eggs or wings
A red root veg or a way to win or in music
It can be the whole groove, like a disco beat
It can be the pulse, like the on-beat, down-beat and back-beat
Or it can be the subdivisions inbetween, off-beats or upbeats
And if you're an actor, it's some factor that causes a shift ...or it's a pause
(but I digress)
Time in music's direction depends on how it scrolls
Sometimes downwardly like piano rolls
To the left or the right, yet riffs go round
While a record is spiral time in sound
It's depicting a picture picked to fit
Mental graphics that aptly capture it, in your

Pumping iron for the mind til you're fine with whenever
You can't rush the rush of contemplating

Thing Place Time
What Where When
This Here Now
That There Then
But this here this-here-now can be minute or huge, depends on how you choose which what-where-when
When every thing-place-time that isn't this-here-now must be thusly that there that-there-then... then

But now hear this, from Einstein's mind
Place-time combined, when-where entwined
Me and thee, us and them, I and thou
This and that, then and there, here and now

Being bored is a springboard, right on cue
Make a leap to explore new skies of blue
   Find fine answers through spending time in lieu
Idle minds idolize, while wiser guys
Gals and others attempt to empathise
Nattering with their neighbours harmonise
Whippersnapper to codger cogitate
Not avoiding a void may resonate
Forms of "What's it all for?" to formulate, in your wait...
